How to Know That You're Aging Too Fast
Aging would cause some to celebrate for lessons learned, good and bad journeys and an additional year to spend life. But it also raises red signal. The older you get, the more health issues you'll have due to low immunity and aging body system. So how well do you know your body? How will you know if it has been aging too fast? Here are the signs that you need to be aware of as listed by Doctor Oz.
1. Do a one-legged stance test. Results of this test may help predict brain health and risk of stroke. The inability to stand on one leg for 20 seconds may be associated with small cerebral small vessel disease.
2. Bloodshot Eyes. Having bloodshot eyes is a sign that you are developing arthritis which is a chronic disease typically affecting the small joints in your hands and feet. When you already have this sign, its's most likely that the inflammation has spread all over body including the whites of your eyes.
3. Unable to sense certain smells. If you're beginning to lose your sense of smell, this could be a sign of Neurodegenerative disorder like Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. Such diseases cause brain cells to die over time. As brain cells die, your brain starts to malfunction which firstly affects your sense of smell.
4. Chapped lips. It is a sign of a sleeping disorder called sleep apnea which puts you at greater risk of heart disease, if taken for granted. Chapped lips is a result when you snore while sleeping, and your mouth is open. The air passes over your lips continuously while dehydrating it resulting to dry and chapped lips.
