Filipino-American pride Jordan Clarkson, who just turned 24 last month, will stay with LA Lakers for a hefty 4-year, $50 million contract. A familiar person in Clarkson's team, told reporters that it is indeed a "great news" for Clarkson who made $845,000 last season.

Averaging 15.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in his second NBA season, Clarkson made a good impression with the Lakers management for his work ethics and potential. The Lakers' team officials planned to still keep him in even if he signed an offer sheet with another team.

Laker's has also added Timofey Mozgov on a 4-year, $64 million contract who has averaged 6.9 points and 5 rebounds in his six NBA season. Brian Shaw and Mark Madsen, former players and assistants for the Lakers will be joining Luke Walton's coaching staff.

Clarkson will not be joining the Lakers' summer-league entry since he has proven himself enough to be at NBA level. Instead, he will be on the USA Select team next month along with team mates Randle and Russell. Jordan Clarkson is now one of Lakers' highest-paid players.
